Third Attempt for Starliner Ends in Success

Capsule Touches Down at White Sands, New Mexico

The Boeing Starliner spacecraft landed successfully at White Sands Missile Range Space Harbor in New Mexico on Wednesday, marking the end of its third launch attempt and a significant milestone for the company's commercial crew program.

The Starliner capsule, which was uncrewed for this test flight, launched on Tuesday atop a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket. It spent two days in orbit, conducting a series of tests before returning to Earth.

The landing marks a major victory for Boeing, which has faced setbacks in its efforts to develop the Starliner capsule. The company's first launch attempt in 2019 failed to reach orbit, and a second attempt in 2021 was cut short due to software issues.

The successful landing of the Starliner capsule is a significant step forward for Boeing and NASA, as it brings the company closer to launching humans to the International Space Station.
