Fever Teammates Embrace Star Power

INDIANAPOLIS - With all the star power coming to Indianapolis, the city could use a little bit of a fever. And the Indiana Fever are more than happy to provide it.

The excitement to watch Caitlin Clark play in the WNBA is palpable. The 22-year-old was drafted by the Fever with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft, and she is expected to make an immediate impact on the team.

Clark is a 6-foot-1 guard who played her college basketball at Iowa. She is a two-time All-American and was the Big Ten Player of the Year in 2023. Clark is known for her scoring ability, but she is also a good passer and rebounder.

The Fever are hoping that Clark can help them return to the playoffs after missing out last season. Indiana finished with a 12-22 record in 2023, but they believe that the addition of Clark can help them turn things around.

"We're really excited to have Caitlin join our team," said Fever head coach Marianne Stanley. "She's a special player who can change the game. We can't wait to see what she can do in an Indiana Fever uniform."

Clark is just one of several new additions to the Fever roster this season. The team also added free agents Victoria Vivians and Alysha Clark. Vivians is a 6-foot-1 guard who played for the Los Angeles Sparks last season. Clark is a 6-foot-3 forward who played for the Seattle Storm last season.

The Fever are hoping that their new additions can help them make a run at the WNBA championship. Indiana has never won a WNBA title, but they believe that this year could be their year.
